Regripping

golf grip_edited.jpg

But how do you know what grip is right for you?

Comparing your grips to your golf glove size is a good way to determine the appropriate grip size. A rough guide would be;

Mens Extra Large = Jumbo grip

Mens Large = Midsize grip

Mens Medium = Standard Grip

Mens Small = Standard grip

Ladies Large = Undersized grip

Ladies Medium = Undersized grip

Ladies Small = Undersized stretched grip

However, this may not always be the case for all scenarios.…

  • Slicing the ball, a smaller grip will benefit you.

  • If you tend to hook, a thicker grip could help.

  • Grips too small? This can create overactive motion through impact.

  • Grips too big? You could be losing swing speed.

  • Uncomfortable, a different size grip may benefit.

When was the last time you changed your grips?

Using old, worn out grips will understandably affect your game, but did you know that more than 85% of golfers are not using the correct grips on their clubs and therefore missing out on an immediate performance boost. The wrong grip can hinder your play and lose the ability of consistency.

At Coltswold Golf Co, we stock a wide range of grips from Golf Pride, Lamkin and Superstroke. If you would prefer a different brand, such as iomic or oem grips, we can order these in for you, no problem.

Our fitting service is available in-store at South Cerney Golf Course and wherever possible we will re-grip whilst you wait. There is also a nice little restaurant if you wanted to grab a coffee. Our re-gripping service costs as little as £5 each including fitting. Please refer to our price list or call us on 01285 861001.
